A Frozen Veggie Nightmare

Sorry for the radio silence but I’ve had a crazy couple days!  I think it must be the full moon, or perhaps it was the veggie burger.  Yes, it was the veggie burger. I won’t say the brand name here, because I don’t want to get sued and I haven’t approached the brand yet personally to tell them what happened – (today is my first day of feeling back to normal) so I’ll get to that later today.  But oh what a lovely 36 hrs it’s been! Sometimes, when I run out of produce at the end of the week,

Smoothie Cereal

It’s my new addiction. What is smoothie cereal?  This. Is. Smoothie. Cereal. I dabbled with this in a previous post and loved it so much I had to make it again.   Smoothie cereal starts with a smoothie of course!  I blended up one banana, a cup of frozen organic strawberries, and some spring water (I usually add a cup of spinach too but I ran out just this morning!)  and I poured half of the smoothie into a bowl.  To that I added a sliced banana, and half a cup of my  homemade granola! It was so freaking good.  So good all I want

Granola

Yes!  You can!   Making granola is SUPER EASY and anyone can do it!   Note: this recipe isn’t raw, but it is vegan and all natural!  You can make this recipe completely raw by using a dehydrator (I don’t own one yet) instead of an oven…but in this instance, I used the oven!   I used 3 cups of organic oats, and then just added half a cup each (or giant handfuls) of: raw cashews, raw brazil nuts, raw walnuts, raw cacao nibs, raw sesame seeds, an 1/8th of a cup of chia seeds mixed with sprouted buckwheat and sea salt

Veggie Wraps

Some people like wraps made with tortillas, and some people like wraps made with more…VEGGIES! I like to do both – sometimes I’ll use an Ezekiel Sprouted Grain Wrap, but most of the time I use collard greens. This guy is a collard green leaf.  They’re huge!  Huge and awesome because they don’t tear easily when you stuff them with veggies! First I made a giant bowl of every veggie I could find. This had celery, spinach, cucumber, corn, tomato, juice of half a lime, and sea salt.   Then I took TWO of those amazing collard green leaves and

Intimacy

Ladies, there is only one word you need to remember when looking for the perfect bra.  {intimacy} Guys, there is only one place to take your lady for a free bra fitting that will rock her world. {intimacy} Say it with me now…INTIMACY! Today, I had what I would easily call a life changing experience.  I went to the newly opened Intimacy store located in the King of Prussia Mall in PA for a free bra fitting.  I heard all about Intimacy on the local radio show Preston and Steve yesterday.  They were saying how a bra fitting at Intimacy was life changing and threw around words like “The Bra

Fun Fitness Weekend – September

As I mentioned last month, my best friend Jodi and I are having once a month Fun Fitness Weekends! This past weekend we headed to PRG – Philadelphia Rock Gym and both got certified in belaying and decided to tackle the high walls! It was Jodi’s first time up, and while she is deathly afraid scared of heights, she managed to get half way up the wall! Every climb up Jodi ascended higher than the climb before. She had to put all her trust in me, since I was the one belaying her (the belayer is the person who holds the

Green Smoothie Morning!

It’s a GREEN SMOOTHIE morning!  I woke up totally in the mood for a green smoothie, so this is what I came up with on the fly… I apologize for the photo quality, my camera battery is charging so I had to wing it with my camera phone 😀 In a blender I combined one ‘nana, a cup (packed) of organic spinach, a cup of frozen organic strawberries, half of a fresh mango, a cup and a half of spring water, one scoop of Sunwarrior Raw Vegan Protein Powder, and a tablespoon of spirulina.  It looks so pretty!!! I blended

Raw Banana Ice Cream

EASY SHMEAZY RAW ICE CREAM!  It’s so easy, you’re going to say, nuh-uh…there’s no way that’s all you have to do.  And I’ll say, yeahhh-huhhhhh!  Watch this…   Take 3 RIPE bananas.  Chop them into 2 inch or so pieces.  Put them in a freezer baggie or a Tupperware container and put them in the freezer for a few hours, or overnight.    When you take them out, they will look like this:     frozen ‘nanas!   Take your frozen ‘nanas, and put them in a food processor.  I added one tablespoon of raw honey, but you don’t even have to
