Granola

Yes!  You can!

Making granola is SUPER EASY and anyone can do it!

Note: this recipe isn’t raw, but it is vegan and all natural!  You can make this recipe completely raw by using a dehydrator (I don’t own one yet) instead of an oven…but in this instance, I used the oven!

I used 3 cups of organic oats, and then just added half a cup each (or giant handfuls) of: raw cashews, raw brazil nuts, raw walnuts, raw cacao nibs, raw sesame seeds, an 1/8th of a cup of chia seeds mixed with sprouted buckwheat and sea salt to taste.

Mix it all together in a big bowl!

Then mix together a quarter cup of organic coconut oil with a half cup of agave nectar.

I poured the wet mixture into the dry mixture and mixed well.

YUMMMMM!  At this step, either spread this out onto a tray in your dehydrator…OR….

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and spread out the granola mixture onto non-stick foil covered baking sheet.  Pop it in for 10 minutes, pull out, flip the mixture, pop back in for about 8 minutes and remove from the oven.

Granola before going into the oven…

And above, granola AFTER it comes out of the oven!

I put the granola back in a big bowl and mixed in dried fruit!  I added dried organic raisins and cranberries and a bit more sea salt.  YUM. Just mix and you are done!

You can use any nuts-dried fruits that you like!  I am storing the granola in a glass mason jars in the fridge.

Next time around I will probably dice up the larger nuts first, but other than that, I love it!

YUM.

Granola…or Rawnola.

Totally up to you. 🙂

Lovely comments!

  1. How much calories does a cup of this have? Just wondering since I get a little uncontrollable around granola! 🙂

  2. Ps. Looks amazing!
