Raw Sexy Halloween!

What are you going to be for Halloween this year?  Do you celebrate Halloween?  I know that some people choose not to for religious or other reasons, but to me, Halloween is just another excuse to play dress up.  I will never pass up an opportunity to play dress up.  It’s so much fun.

As for the Halloween candy situation, you all know what I am going to say about that one.  Don’t eat the whole bowl of candy.  Don’t hand out your favorite candy to trick-or-treaters.  If you do, you’ll be tempted to eat it all night long.    When you are heading to bed for the night, leave whatever candy is left out on your front step-front porch-front yard.   I promise it won’t be there in the morning.   

It would be very easy to gain a few pounds this week if you started eating candy now.  Wait until it’s actually Halloween.  You don’t want to get off track for several days in a row.  While eating commercial chocolates are not the best for you by any means, I definitely understand the temptation of Reese’s peanut butter cups and twix and snickers.  Those were always alluring to me.  And caramello bars…(sp?) it’s been so long I don’t remember how they spell that one anymore.  So go ahead and indulge a little on Halloween. Eat a little of your favorite candies/chocolates.  A little.  Not the whole bowl-pack-carton-box-bag. 

Then give the rest away. 
Get it out of your house. 
Do not hoard Halloween candy until Easter. 

Don’t feel like indulging at all?  Don’t want to get off track?  Try some raw chocolate.  Try some dark chocolate (at least 70% dark).  Try some sliced apples dipped in raw honey.  Eat some dates (they’re so sweet!).  Take a banana, slice it length-wise into 2 halves, top it with your favorite raw nut butter and sprinkle it with dark chocolate pieces.  Do the same with strawberries!

All of these healthy snacks should knock out any sugar cravings and keep you looking RAW AND SEXY.
