Nay You Say?

It’s down to the wire.At 6 am tomorrow morning, I’ll be sitting at the airport waiting for my flight.  Today has been a whirlwind of a day.  I lost the past two days due to the weather…we had so much snow here that it made it difficult to get from place to place, and difficult to accomplish all the things I needed to get done before I left the East Coast.Somehow, within the past 6 hours, I’ve been able to get it all done.  I said “goodbye –  for now”…  It’s really hard to say goodbye to people who are

The Final Countdown

It’s finally hitting me…I’m actually moving to the other side of the country. In 5 days.  5 4 3 2 1 Yesterday I waved good bye to my car – trunk and backseat packed with all of my belongings and watched it leave for the west coast. By having it picked up yesterday, it should get to Cali on the same day that I get to Cali!  Pretty cool – and now I don’t have to worry about packing anymore, because I’m all done and it’s gone! Pure Barre – The Best Workout I’ve Ever Had, Barre None.

When I first heard of Pure Barre, my heart stopped in it’s tracks.  A fitness class that incorporates pilates, core, strength training…and ballet moves at the barre?  Sold.  Where do I sign up?  I was a dance major at Bennington College in Vermont.  I also had the bright idea of playing soccer there, ended up injuring my left ankle, and had to drop all of my dance classes and take physical therapy instead. Dance into the Weekend

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! It’s a beautiful day. I had a fabulous veggified salad last night full of greens, zucchini, tomato, olives and I mixed a spoonful of hummus with some balsamic for a quick and easy homemade dressing.Quick, simple, and delish. I had fabulous veggified sushi today.  I’m not a big rice eater on any kind of regular basis, but I make an exception for sushi. Berry Oats and Compression Tights!

This looks like a giant bowl of oatmeal, doesn’t it??? It’s actually only half a cup! In the bowl is: 1/2 cup of organic oats 1 cup of organic wild blueberries 1/2 cup of organic strawberries 1 teaspoon of raw agave YUM.  I’m trying to not eat so much raw almond butter…that stuff is seriously addictive, and it really should be an indulgence food because it’s super high in fat and cals, even though it’s a good fat, being raw nuts and all. So instead of adding my usual raw almond butter to the oats, I went the berry route!
