Asparagus Wraps


I love asparagus. <3


I love asparagus even more when it’s 99 cents for one entire bunch!  

Kudos to Henry’s Farmers Market in San Diego for making my dinner an inexpensive one 🙂  



I bought some collard greens (my favorite for wrap making!) and used one leaf.  Then I lightly steamed – just for 2 minutes until it turned that bright green color – the asparagus.  I added the asparagus to the collard leaf, added some raw cilantro jalapeño hummus, and some organic marinara.  I love making my own raw marinara, but in a pinch, organic marinara does the job too!

Dinner is served.  Easy, shmeazy!  You can do this with ANY VEGGIES you like! 


Add a sprinkle of sea salt, pepper, garlic or cilantro to taste.
***There are a few veggies that are much easier on my stomach when I steam them lightly, and asparagus is one of them.  The others are in the Cruciferous veggie class: broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower.  I know that’s not the case for everyone, but it definitely helps me.  Just a minute or two over some light steam seems to do the trick!  Love it when food tastes amazing, is great for you, and digests easily.  

Now it’s time for a workout 🙂
