As a Featured Publisher for Foodbuzz, I get the “in” on all of their contests. Well, a few weeks ago I submitted a dinner party proposal to Foodbuzz for their 24×24 Contest, and TA DA! My proposal was selected! In turn, I needed to host this dinner last night, Saturday August 27th. So what exactly did I propose? Ladies and Gents, I give you: A RAW RETRO EVENING As most of you know, I’ve recently moved into a new apartment in San Diego in the rawsome neighborhood of South Park. The houses here are older and some are even

I love this simple, quick, “pick-me-up” snack! Sometimes before a workout I’ll have a banana, but this is a great snack idea for when you are on the go or if you are running/cycling long distance and want something small but power-packed that you can take with you! What you need: Dates (medjool are my favorite) Raw Almond Butter Simply slice the dates on one side, remove the pit, spoon in some almond butter and squeeze the date back together. Philip McCluskey came to San Diego and the raw foodies came out to play! It was such a pleasure to finally meet Phil as I’ve followed his journey for such a long time and he has always been an inspiration to me. (If I haven’t already bought all of them to stop you.) ~having my own refrigerator~ Clearly, I need to go grocery shopping.
Another new beginning… I’ve moved! Again! Third time is the charm, right? I am still in the lovely glorious state of California, in San Diego but I’ve moved to another town. Since arriving on the West Coast at the end of January, I’ve felt like I was floating. Fresh starts and new surroundings are always exciting, but at times uneasy. I think over the past 6 to 7 months, while I’ve definitely felt at home here with the weather and the surroundings, I’ve felt suspended…like a trapeze artist floating through San Diego. Meeting people, getting lost, discovering new places, working, getting lost,
