Recovered after just ONE Week?!

It’s been a week…well, almost a week.  A week ago today I was waiting to go into surgery to have two giant cantaloupe sized tumors removed from my pelvis.  I didn’t get out of surgery until 5 or 6pm PT, so I’m about six hours early on this week estimate. Today, I feel awesome.  I am walking at normal speed again (which for me is pretty fast because I’m tall and I’ve never been a slow walker), I’ve weened myself off the pain killers and am only taking the giant Motrin they gave me for pain and swelling and the

It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! It’s a Tumor! – Part 1

Well, it was 2 tumors to be exact. I had surgery on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 and had 2 giant cantaloupe sized tumors removed from my pelvis.  One attached to each ovary.  They don’t appear to be cancer, just traditional dermoids.  I am waiting on the pathology report for confirmation, but nothing indicates cancer so far.  YAY! Also, my ovaries were saved and are working so that is great!  The surgery went really well and my sister and her husband are taking care of my recovery right now. I haven’t posted in a while because all of this happened so fast and
