April 1st Fitness Challenge – UPDATE!

It’s just 2 DAYS away!  Are YOU going to do this with me?!   There was such a great response from my most recent post so I’m making a few additions to the challenge!  Some of you wrote and said you want to participate but you aren’t comfortable posting photos on Facebook and you aren’t a Raw Is Sexy Member, but you still want to do the challenge for yourself.

THAT’S AWESOME!!!  I fully support and encourage that!  If that applies to you and you still want to participate in the challenge just for yourself, just follow these instructions:

  1. COMMENT ON THIS POST and let me know that you will be participating
  2. If you Tweet or use Instagram, let me know when you are being active by using hashtag –  #rawissexy30  so I know you are being active and it’s an easy way for me to find everyone’s posts.  {You don’t have to post a picture if you are not comfortable doing so, but tell us what your workout consists of!}

I’ve already begun the challenge (it helps if I get in the zone a week before everyone else so that I can more effectively help others through it) and the photo at the top of this post is from my gym workout yesterday!

So Get Ready!

The entire point of this challenge is for you to get back on track with your workouts. Be active every single day for 30 days.  What about a rest day?  If you need a rest day, take an active rest day.  Go for a 20 minute walk.  Take a relaxing yoga class.  You must move for 30 days in a row!  That can be the gym, yoga, running, swimming, spinning, hiking, crossfit, baseball, whatever it is that YOU ENJOY doing!

It takes 30 days for something to become a new habit.

I am going to help you get through all 30 days and after that, working out will feel as natural as brushing your teeth!  You will be on your way to that summertime bod you’ve been dreaming of.

What should you do this week while preparing for the challenge?  Eat your veggies!  Get your eating on track.  Begin some workouts.  Try to be active 3 times this week.  Get adequate sleep and water.  Get yourself mentally in the zone to begin the challenge on April 1st. – that’s next Monday – right after Easter weekend (so don’t eat a pile of chocolate bunnies!)

So remember, for those who are already Raw Sexy Members (or anyone who signs up to be a member) – you’ll be added to the private Facebook group where you will post a photo each day and be up for some AMAZING prizes! More info here:

    • Hi Maggie! So excited you are doing this! Trust me, you are NOT stuck! Every day is another opportunity to choose differently and you are doing just that!   4. I’m joining because I need to find my track…not just be on track…and I apparently need the help of an entire group to motivate me to do so,,,:)

    HI Lauren! I’d love to participate in your April Challenge! My name is Gillian, I am a 16-year old Type 1 diabetic who loves farming & being outside. My main focus will be running for the challenge, as well as Pilates, all the while controlling my blood sugar. (Though I’m starting a day late) I got my exercise in Yesterday by getting out to my greenhouse & digging up the soil (as well as doing pull-ups)! Thanks for putting this challenge together; it was great finding your blog 🙂
