Smoothie Pick-Me-Up Recipe

Fruit is in season and I am HOOKED.

Fruit is the ultimate “fast food” and there is nothing easier than grabbing a banana to go or packing sliced apples and raw nut butter for a healthy snack.  Want an easy breakfast with a built in bowl?  Chop a melon in half and dig in with a spoon!

Need an afternoon pick me up?  Did you hit that 3:00 pm wall when everyone around you at work reaches for that second (or third) cup of coffee?  Take a smoothie to work with you and put it in the refrigerator as your afternoon pick me up!

My 3:00 pm pick me up smoothie:

  • 2 cups of spinach
  • a few stems of fresh parsley (with leaves)
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup of frozen pineapple
  • 1 tablespoon of raw almond butter
  • ice
  • water

BLEND!

It’s refreshing, energizing and delicious!

Skip that afternoon coffee and Enjoy!
