I’m currently loving these smoothie bowls – so easy, so delicious and SO healthy! They’re called acai bowls and Buddha bowls depending on where you go, but I just call them amazing.
Make your favorite smoothie and make it so that it’s thick and not too runny, top it with granola, and your favorite sliced or chopped fruit. To make the traditional acai version, use a packet of frozen acai puree which you can find at Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s, blend the frozen acai with a banana and some rice milk or water and that’s your base. You can also add a handful of spinach to that smoothie mixture and blend. Then top with your favorite toppings as desired.
You could also mix hemp protein powder or a raw protein powder into the smoothie portion for an extra kick!
